Office of Student Financial Aid

UW and the Information School offer two types of financial aid: need-based and merit-based. For need-based financial aid, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required. This standard form can be completed online at the FAFSA website. For FAFSA deadline information, visit the UW Office of Student Financial Aid website.

Undergraduate Financial Aid

The UW Graduate School maintains Financial Support Resources for Graduate Students. Additional information regarding sources of financial assistance is available from:

The Information School offers additional scholarships and financial aid, in two categories: for specific populations and for specific programs.

For Specific Populations

Graduate and undergraduate students in the Information School may be eligible for scholarships designated for the following populations:
